Membership Approves Land Purchase The VCC members voted to approve the purchase of 28-acres of land a short distance north of downtown Victor on Country Rd 9 and Aldridge Road (driving North on Church Street). If the purchase is successful, the goal would be to eventually build a new home for VCC on the land. It is a beautiful piece of property with a pond, a hill and lots of trees - including a mature stand of pine trees easily identifiable in the picture as the dark circle near The NYS Thruway (I-90). To get a better feel for the property, please view the pictures from the VCC Land Walk on Saturday November 12. Now that the membership has approved the purchase, the next step is to present a request to the town to subdivide the existing 33 acre parcel into two pieces:
VCC is on the agenda for the Town of Victor Planning Committee meeting on December 13, 2011 to seek approval to subdivide this property. All the paperwork has been submitted to the town (thank you Ken and Machelle), so all that remains to properly prepare for this meeting is prayer. Pending approval, the next step will be to finalize financing in preparation for a January 2012 closing on the land. Please continue to pray for this process and the Church as we go through this exciting time. If we are successful in completing this purchase, the obvious question will be - how long until we start building? We can't answer this question at this time - instead we will wait upon the Lord, and be thankful for all that He continues to provide! |
