No blog post yesterday as I was with my family enjoying a family tradition . . . .
"Family Tradition?" you ask? Here in New York? Why, we've only lived here for 6 months, what possible tradition could we already have in such a short time? There's actually a very cool story to answer that question . . . .

I was shocked and saddened by the news today that a college classmate of mine, Dale Goetz, who was deployed in Afghanistan as an Army Chaplain, was killed Monday by an IED. "This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."
We had a wonderful Sunday morning service. It was our 5th Sunday at the UMAC, and we were right near 100 again! We had some visiting families with us, which is always a blessing. The VCC Worship Team was back with a great set of music. I appreciated Bill's presentation for "Back to Church Sunday" on September 12th. I hope every single family will commit to pray and invite for this special "grand opening"...

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will...
