Well, needless to say, we have been thoroughly enjoying these warmer temperatures! It's hard to believe that a little over a week ago we had 12 inches of snow falling on us! I was doing some work outside this past weekend, and realized it was the first time I had seen the grass in the front yard! I know it's still early March, and the likelihood of more snow is strong, but I'm enjoying it as long as I can! What a beautiful few days we have enjoyed here in upstate New York!
It reminded me of God's promise to Noah after the Flood. Because of man's great wickedness, God sent a Flood to destroy mankind, with the exception of Noah and his family. They found grace in the eyes of the Lord. When the waters began to recede, and Noah and his family were let out of the ark, he built an altar to God. God made a promise then in Genesis 8, which included these words: "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." The changing of the seasons is yet one more reminder that our God is faithful and will keep the promises He has made. Granted, sometimes they do not happen in our timetable, but that does not diminish their truth. Rejoice today in the promises of God! Have a BLESSED day! ![]() |
